The Last Supper of The Man Who Ate New Orleans
Friday, October 21, 2011 at 7:30 PM (CDT)
New Orleans, LA
Please join us for The Last Supper of Ray Cannata, "The Man Who Ate New Orleans". Ray is completing his quest to eat at every restaurant in New Orleans (more than 700!) with a celebration hosted by Chef John Besh, recently voted Best Chef in New Orleans, serving a 5 course meal (including wine) from Ray's final restaurant, Besh Steakhouse. At The Last Supper Ray will announce the first annual Crawfish d'Or awards, which will be given out to favorite local NOLA chefs in a "best of Ray's" type of awards ceremony. The Rebirth Brass Band and other musical guests will provide live entertainment.
JUST ANNOUNCED: "Late Show" tickets! After the dinner has concluded, please join us to hear the announcement of the Crawfish d'Or awards and to be entertained by Rebirth! Late Show ticket holders are admitted after the dinner, around 9:30 pm. A cash bar will be available. Last Show tickets are $20 at the door.
A film about Ray, entitled "The Man Who Ate New Orleans", is in production and will be filming that night. You can see a preliminary trailer for the film at http://vimeo.com/22921986 (password is "dunaway")
All net proceeds from this event will be donated to St. Roch CDC, the community development arm of St. Roch church, and will be used to continue the rebuilding efforts in New Orleans. A portion of every ticket price is tax deductible (ticket holders will receive a receipt for their tax records at the event).
